A Mass for Arras

An account of events in the medieval city of Arras told by their witness and participant, who reflects on timeless mechanisms of terror and origins of intolerance and fanaticism. 

In the face of a plague, people's hearts and minds are seized with evil and madness. This is a tale of tyranny and pitfalls of living in a community. A tale of the destructive power of uniformity, different dimensions of freedom and... lack thereof. The truth of a man of our time in the Janusz Gajos's superb interpretation.
